Woodcoat Village Hall
Coupdeville are working with Woodcote Parish Council on a Pro Bono project to improve the public spaces and facilities of the Village of Woodcote.
The focus on this is improving and reorganising the Village Hall – a badly extended building which forms the focal point of the village. Currently the building fronts a busy main road and has a constricted and badly signalled entrance.
Internally the circulation is awkward and wasteful. Phase 1 of the project proposes to reorganise the entrance to the building and create a new public square to mark this. The new entrance allows the internal organisation to be drastically improved and the landscaped square creates a focal and meeting point for local residents and transforms the look of the former rear of the building.
Further phases include remodelling the changing areas and providing a clubhouse for the sports teams, further renovations to the façade and ultimately a rooftop bar restaurant and terrace overlooking the Green.
