West London Townhouse
The brief for this project was to remodel the property with an emphasis on solving the issues with poor circulation and dark lower ground floor levels. The strategy was to redo the circulation between the living levels and remove the awkward structural elements from the lower floor.
The new staircase forms a double height space linking the two levels which floods the house with light, courtesy of large glazed areas to the rear. This also creates a new library/ study area that links with the lower living areas and has dramatic views over the garden.
A new kitchen and utility area was designed and new finishes installed throughout. New landscaping was designed to work with the architecture working together with Cityscapers The finished project provides a warm modern residence flooded with light.
Shortlisted for Building Design Architect of the Year Awards.
